The Durdle Door is a natural limestone rock feature on the Dorset coastline (the Jurassic Coast) near Lulworth. ‘Durdle’ is derived from the Old English ‘thirl’, meaning to pierce, bore or drill.
The walk to the beach is steep with 700m at 45 degrees. But the waters are crystalline and scenery beautiful.
Nearby are Man O’ War Cove and Lulworth Cove.
